Solitary Bee Hotel
This beautiful cottage-style native solitary bee home can be placed in your garden to provide housing for a number of solitary bee species, such as leafcutter bees and resin bees.
Attracting solitary bees to your garden helps to support native bees, and you may also experience their pollination skills for your garden in the process!
This high-quality home is made from Japanese sugi (cedar) wood. The holes are long enough for both male and female eggs to be laid, while in many store-bought bee hotels, they are are not.
The bees will start building their nest in Spring or Summer, and then the babies will hatch the following year.
Make sure to position your bee home where it is safe from the elements such as wind and rain. It is recommended that you clean out the nests between generations of bees to prevent pests and diseases (a cleaning brush is included).
The dimensions of the bee hotel are 18.1 x 15.9 x 27.9 centimetres (LxWxH)
